ALUMNI
One of the most distinctive aspects of our programs in Theatre and Dance at Dickinson is a sense of continuity and history. Introduction to Theatre is often taught in the same Denny Hall room that housed some of the earliest Mermaid Player productions, Alums often offer recent grads a "leg-up" in getting their careers started when arriving in New York, Chicago and other cities. Opening nights are frequently the occasion for wonderfully unpredictable and spontaneous "mini-reunions" of Dickinsonians returning to campus.
Alumni of our program have been very generous in support of our program. One of the most recent additions to our department were the two stained glass windows commissioned from Professor of Art Emeritus Dennis Aiken which grace our conference room in Montgomery House. These are only an example of the program enhancements made possible by our Alumni, who work with us to ensure a continuation of the rich and distinctive education that characterizes Theatre and Dance at Dickinson.
While we have assembled some information in this section related to alumni activity around the country (and internationally) we hope to add more. Do be in touch. The above links will take you to a greeting from the current department chair, some alumni profiles (we'd love to update them!), photos from past productions (we'll keep expanding this area as possible) and a special section dedicated to the memory of David Brubaker, the guiding light and shining example for our program for so many years.
WELCOME BACK!! We hope to see you again on campus soon!
