The Counseling Center is dedicated to enhancing the healthy psychological, social, and intellectual development of Dickinson College students. Direct service and outreach programs are provided by both professional and para -professional staff, including licensed or certified psychologists, and social workers, as well as graduate student interns. Two Board-certified psychiatrists provide consultation and medical supervision.

The staff of the Counseling Center is bound by the legal and ethical guidelines regarding confidentiality. Individuals and offices outside the Counseling Center are not informed that a particular student has sought services unless (1) the student provides written consent to release such information; or (2) the student is judged to be a danger to self or others, in which case steps are taken to insure the safety of both the student and others.

The Counseling Center is located at the corner of Cherry and Louther streets.  We are located in the extension to the Kline Center next to the Fitness Center on the second floor. See the Campus Maps page.
