Community Service

Serve the World made its first trip to New York this year with a full team of First-Year students. Check out some pictures of their experiences below!

The entire New York team with some First-Year Barnard students standing on a hill overlooking Morningside Park in Harlem.

Dickinson team members help serve food at the Morningside Park community festival.

The New York team outside of God's Love We Deliver, a non-denominational non-profit organization that prepares and delivers meals to terminally ill citizens of New York City. The team worked here on the last day of the service trip.

Students take a break from chopping carrots to pose for this interesting &creepy photo.

After a long day of work, the team explored Manhattan.

Wall tiles at God's Love We Deliver. The tiles with hearts commemorate friends who have died. The other tiles are offered in thanks to the organization's contributors.
The Dickinson team learns about how students at Barnard College engage in service in their urban home.
Serve the World has also traveled to Wheeling, West Virginia and Mountainside, Jamaica this year.
