Applying for Common Hour

Applying for a Common Hour is simple. You can fill out the on-line application which details the information we need-- such as a short description of the event and who the speaker/performer will be, co-sponsoring departments and classes that might be required or encouraged to attend. Common Hour proposals which have classes committed will have priority. (The broader the reach, the better the event.) Last, but not least, provide estimated expenses (speaker fees, travel, meals, etc.) and how those will be shared by co-sponsors. On some occasions, Common Hour can provide some financial support but only if matched by co-sponsors.

Once a proposal is accepted, a firm title and brief description of the Common Hour by the end of the semester preceding your event will be required.
