Processor Submission

PROCESSOR: A Juried Regional M.F.A. Exhibition 

CALL FOR ENTRIES:

The Goodyear Gallery at Dickinson College welcomes submissions from M.F.A. candidates attending programs of study in the states of Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland or Washington, DC that addresses or utilizes computer technology at any stage in their artistic process.

EXHIBITION TIMELINE:

Submissions Deadline: End of day, Saturday - July 5, 2008

Exhibition Dates: Tuesday, September 30 – Sunday, October 26
Installation Date: September 27, 28 & 29
Exhibition Opening reception: T.B.A.
De-installation and artist pick-up of work: October 27, 28 & 29 

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: 

Submission is restricted to students enrolled in an M.F. A. program* in the states of Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland or Delaware.

(*eligibility is also open to graduates who received their degrees in the Spring of 2008)

All work submitted must have been made in the past three years.

Artists may submit up to three images or a maximum of 5 minutes of video using the on-line submission forms.   Only on-line submissions will be considered.  CDs, DVDs, prints, and or slides mailed to the jurors will not be opened or returned to senders.  

HOW TO SUBMIT:

All artists submitting work for consideration must fill out the online application by the July 5, 2008 deadline.

Up to three (3) images or video submissions of a maximum of five (5) minutes can be uploaded HERE or linked HERE as a URL.  Please provide title, materials, dimensions and year made for each submission.  An additional field is provided for explanatory information. 

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES:

2D and 3D objects should not exceed 60 inches in any dimension.  Installations will be considered with regard to space restrictions.  Time-based works may be edited together and looped for display purposes.

Selected work cannot be substituted for similar or other work.  All work selected must be made available for the entire length of exhibition.

The Goodyear Gallery has limited equipment for digital projection or web-based display. Artists selected for inclusion in this exhibition are encouraged to support their work with personal equipment.

Works in all media (painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, printmaking and digital art) will be considered.  All work selected must be ready to exhibit (wired, framed, etc.)

While every precaution will be taken to ensure the security of the submissions, Dickinson College, the Goodyear Gallery and its staff will not be responsible for loss or damage to artworks.

All work must be collected on the designated pick-up dates.  The Goodyear Gallery is not responsible for the storage or delivery of art not collected. Artist included in the exhibition are responsible for all shipping costs. 

It is the responsibility of the artists to insure their own work during transport and while Dickinson College is hosting their work.  The college does not provide insurance for the artwork included in this exhibition.

All artists invited to participate in PROCESSOR may be asked to provide proof of their academic affiliation.

The Jurors of PROCESSOR retain the right to refuse to exhibit any work they deem misrepresented or unsafe for exhibition.
