Past Courses in Sustainability
Offered Across the Dickinson College Curriculum
The fields of knowledge and methods of inquiry that are relevant to creating a sustainable world are diverse, and span all major academic divisions of the college. In consequence, courses that help students to develop sustainability competencies and dispositions are offered by more than half of Dickinson’s academic departments and programs. The courses are categorized into two types, Sustainability Investigations (SINV) and Sustainability Connections (SCON). They differ in the degree to which sustainability is a focus of the courses, with sustainability being a major theme of Investigations courses, but not of Connections courses.
