Renewable Energy Team
The Renewable Energy Team is comprised of students, faculty and staff members that are working to address ways in which Dickinson College can improve its renewable energy resource on campus. Purchased electricity is our largest source of greenhouse gas emissions, and finding ways to reduce electricity consumption and produce electricity from carbon-free sources is critical to meeting our carbon neutrality goals.
The team will focus primarily on the short and long term advantages and disadvantages of solar, wind and bio-mass by looking at not only associated costs and return on investment, but also how each resource fits into the framework of Campus and the greater Carlisle area.
