When you begin your job search there are a few key questions you should ask yourself. Answers to these questions provide the foundation for your job search. If you have trouble answering these questions and are not clear on what types of jobs to look for, you may want to meet with a Career Counselor. You can make an appointment by calling the Career Center at ext. 1740.

• What are my values, skills, and interests and what types of jobs will utilize these attributes?
• What is my marketability?
• Where, geographically, do I want to live and work?
• What are my short-term and long-term goals?
• What kind of job do I want?
• What field or industry interests me?
