It’s Not (just) Your Grandfather’s Library: 21st Century Careers in Library and Information Sciences

Learn about today's careers in library settings. Hear from a panel of young professionals about their decisions to pursue the field as well as what they do in their jobs and their pursuit of further education to support professional development. Speak informally with panelists over an afternoon snack or ask questions that will help the group. The event will take place in the East Asian Studies Room on the second floor of the Waidner-Spahr Library.

Science Resume Book Deadline

The Career Center is a member of a consortium that is putting together resume books for student with science majors looking to work in a related industry. Seniors who are interested in full time positions post-graduation must meet the following qualifications and have them listed on resume to submit their resume for inclusion:

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.4
Relevant internship
Leadership experience

A resume review in the Career Center is required prior to submitting for the resume book.

Interviewing 101 (Part 2)

Part 2 of 2: The first workshop of this series covered the critical basics of interviewing, including professional etiquette, how to answer questions, the types of interview styles and what types of questions candidates should be asking.

Part 2 will allow you to practice what you've learned in a small environment where you can feel comfortable making mistakes!
