Selma K. Asbell Scholarship Awarded

The fourteenth recipient of the Selma K. Asbell Scholarship was recently announced by the French faculty. The 2013 honor was awarded to Kimberly Drexler '15. This scholarship is endowed by Yale Asbell '78 in honor of his mother and "shall be awarded for one year to a rising junior, based upon overall scholastic performance and achievement in the study of French language and culture."  Kimberly's accomplishments will be recognized at the annual Pi Delta Phi, the French Honor Society, induction ceremony on May 9 and her name has been added to the Selma K. Asbell plaque, located in Bosler Hall atrium.

French Honor Society to Induct Ten Students

Five Dickinson students will be inducted into Pi Delta Phi, the French Honor Society:

May 9, 2013  *  4:30 pm  *  Bosler Hall

Ellen Aldin, Lauren Brennan, Julia Coggins, Joshua Davis, and Sarah Howard will receive the Pi Delta Phi pin, certificate, and graduation cord as a symbol of their outstanding scholarship in the French language and its literature.

Pi Delta Phi, established in 1906, is the French National Honor Society for undergraduate and graduate students at accredited public and private colleges and universities in the United States.
