The Annual Environmental Studies Spring Picnic

Friday, May 6th
5:30 pm @ the Dickinson College Farm

The Environmental Studies Department invites our students, colleagues, and friends to an annual celebration of spring and the completion of another semester. Visit with fellow students and faculty, bid farewell to our graduating class, and feast on classic picnic treats and local foods. We will hold the traditional slide show and recognize one of our outstanding senior majors with the Environmental Studies Award. Please bring a blanket for extra seating, Frisbees for tossing, and instruments for making noise.

Transportation will be provided to and from the picnic and carpooling is highly encouraged. Please plan to meet the vans at the Kaufman Parking lot at 5:00 pm. Vans will return throughout the evening as needed.

 Anna Ramthun

 Name:  Anna Ramthun
Class of 2013
Major: Environmental Science
Study abroad: Hopefully Costa Rica in Spring of 2012
Academic interests: Ecology, Integrated pest management, Sustainable Agriculture, Literature, Anthropology, Religion, American History
Favorite thing about being an ES Major:  Field Trips. There are so many places (Centralia, Adams County, the headwaters of mountain creek) that I would never have seen or thought to look for before I went there.  Also, I generally enjoy being outside, so I love collecting samples from field sites
Campus activities: TreeHouse, Outing Club, College Farm, SAVES , Earth Now!, ES Majors Board
