The Economics Department congratulates one of its students, Thanh To, as Dickinson College’s “2011 Student Employee of the Year”!  Thanh, who works in the Advancement Office, was also selected as the Northeast Region District 7 Student Employee of the Year by the Northeast Association of Student Employment administrators.  Again, our congratulations to Thanh!

L. Randall Wray, Professor of Economics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, senior scholar at the Levy Economics Institute of Bard College, NY and published author, visited Dickinson College in February to conduct a lecture titled, "A Minskian Explanation of the Economic Crisis" which explored and expounded upon the factors that contributed to the current economic and financial crisis.  Prior to his lecture, Professor Wray spent time with students from the Economics Department to discuss his thoughts on the current economic situation and answer questions.
