Students in Professor Ambwani's lab research mood, personality, and eating behaviors. Last week, two students accompanied Professor Ambwani to the annual meeting of the Society for Personality Assessment in San Jose, California. Below, Alyssa Compeau ('11) explains the results of a recent research project to a conference attendee.

 Pennsylvania's private colleges presented an opportunity for lawmakers to take a look at undergraduate research that's occurring in the state.  Seniors Meg Tobias and Bettina Cerban presented their research on Tuesday, March 23 in Harrisburg with their mentor, Professor Helweg-Larsen.  Meg and Bettina have conducted research on risk perception and moralization in both the United States and Denmark, and have worked collaboratively with other students in Professor Helweg-Larsen's lab collecting data for comparisons across several countries.

Student paper wins conference award

John Monopoli ('11) presented the culmination of his independent study (Psych 500) on the development of conduct and antisocial personality disorders at the Lebanon Valley College conference. Monopoli's paper, "The development of antisocial behavior: Risk factors, trajectory, and the nature/nurture paradigm" won the award for Best Paper.   His independent study was done under the supervision of Professor Ambwani in Fall 2009.
