Dickinson's Mock Trial team advances, for the fourth consecutive year, to the operning round of the national tournment. The nine-member team will compete with teams from Cornell University, Georgetown University, Lafayette College, St. John's University and the University of Pennsylvania at the E. Barrett Prettyman United States Courthouse in Washington, D.C. the weekend of March 17 and 18, 2012. Team members include: Margot Cardamone '14, Austin Farnet '12, Juliana Carter '13, Andrew Chesley '13, Mary Kate Skehan '12, Josh Handelsman '12, Peter Wright '12, Will Nelligan' 14, and Jenna Long '12. The American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) recognized one of our first-year students, Frank James, as an All-Region Best Attorney. Sophomore, Will Nelligan, was named All-Region Best Witness as both a prosecution and a defense witness. And, Mary Kate Skehan, senior, earned an All-Region Best Attorney Award. Congratulations to all and good luck in the opening round!
Dickinson's Mock Trial Team has advanced, for the third consecutive year, to the opening round of the national tournament, to be held March 12 and 13 at Pace University Law School in White Plains, NY. The team earned this bid after competing in the regional competition held in Philadelphia, PA on February 18 and 19. Four students won awards at the Philadelphia tournament: Mary Kate Skehan '12 was named an All-Region Best Witness, and Anna Aroutiounian '11, Austin Farneth '12 and Reco Sanders '11 were named All-Region Best Attorneys. Congratulations to the team!
