Networking Day
It’s time for Dickinson’s annual Networking Day—a day for alumni to return to campus and talk with students about starting their careers.
Schedule of Events
Saturday, November 3
9 a.m.-noon Student Mock Interviews
noon-1 p.m. Lunch- Grab lunch from the caf and join us in the HUB siderooms. Students and alumni are encouraged to set up one-on-one lunch meetings during this time. Alumni who register for lunch will be given a Dining Hall voucher at registration.
1:15-2:15 p.m. Break-out Session #1

Marketing Yourself to Employers:
Alumni panelists will discuss what employers look for in candidates and how to make yourself stand out.
Succeeding in Graduate School:
Hear from alumni panelists about their experiences searching for, applying to and making decisions about graduates school, as well as what it’s like to be a graduate student.
Diversity in the Workplace:
Diversity in the workplace takes multiple forms: race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, geographic background, economic background, disabilities, as well as many others. Topics of discussion for this panel will include identifying and utilizing career-related resources that meet your needs, unique fringe benefits from employers, identifying employers who seek diverse candidates, etc.

Marketing Your Liberal Arts Experience:
Learn from alumni the best way to communicate the value of your liberal arts experience to potential employers.
Careers In... : The following “Careers In…” panels will showcase alumni with experience in those particular career fields. Panelists will discuss their career paths, provide insight into what their work entails and offer suggestions on finding jobs in their fields. Select from the following options (choose one):

Careers in the Arts
Careers in Sports

Please note: All panelists and moderators are arranged separately through the career center. In signing up, students and alumni are registering for Break-Out Sessions as attendees of that session.

4 – 5 p.m. Alumni-Only Reception
5 – 6:30 p.m. Networking Reception for alumni and seniors- The day's biggest event!

Information
For alumni, there is no charge for any of the day’s events because you are providing a service to our students. Travel costs and overnight accommodations are, however, at your own expense. A block of rooms has been reserved at the downtown Comfort Suites hotel. Contact the hotel at (717) 960-1000 by October 5 to receive the Dickinson Networking Day group rate of $104.
