Certificate of Advanced Global Studies
Rising seniors with at least a 3.3 GPA may enroll in the first semester of the master of arts in global affairs or master of science in global management. Successful completion of 12 credits with at least a 3.0 GPA will earn the student a powerful postgraduate credential even before completion of Dickinson’s undergraduate program: the certificate in advanced global studies.
Dickinson students who have earned the certificate in advanced global studies are guaranteed admission to the second term of master of arts in global affairs or master of science in global management.
Dickinson students who do not participate in the certificate in advanced global-studies program are granted preference in admission to the master of arts and master of science at the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing
B.S./MSN/MBA
Dickinson students with a 3.20 GPA and grades of at least B in the required prerequisite coursework may combine any of the following acceleration programs with admission to the master of science degree with a major in nursing and the master of business administration:
3/1 – Accelerated Second-Degree Baccalaureate Option
Following three years at Dickinson, with at least a 3.20 GPA and grades of at least B in the required prerequisite coursework, students may enter the 13.5 month nursing program at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing.
Students successfully completing this program will be awarded a bachelor’s degree from Dickinson College and a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in nursing from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing.
3/2 – Traditional Second-Degree Baccalaureate Option
Following three years at Dickinson, with at least a 3.20 GPA and grades of at least B in the required prerequisite coursework, students may enter the 21 month nursing program.
Student successfully completing this program will be awarded a bachelor’s degree from Dickinson College and a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in nursing from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing.
4/1 or 4/2 – Traditional or Accelerated Second-Degree Baccalaureate Options
Dickinson graduates with at least a 3.20 GPA and grades of at least B in the required prerequisite coursework can pursue either the 13.5-month option or the 21-month option.
Following successful completion of the nursing program, graduates will be awarded the Bachelor of Science degree with a major in nursing from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing.

The University of Rochester, William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration
Dickinson students will be given priority consideration for admission to the master’s in business administration program any time after graduation, a waiver of the admission-application fee and a minimum of $10,000 per year in merit-based scholarship support (with additional merit-scholarship support possible).
Additional opportunity for Dickinson students as a result of the articulation agreement with the University of Rochester, William E. Simon School of Business Administration:
- Early Leaders Program - Open to Dickinson sophomores, juniors and seniors from any major who demonstrate a high potential for leadership. Accepted students are eligible for scholarships that may be used for up to five years after the student’s nomination toward the master of business administration or full-time master of science study.
