Fall 2013 Physical Education Information
1. All students must complete
four (4) blocks of Physical Education to fulfill requirements for graduation.
Physical Education blocks are in addition to the 32 courses required for
graduation and do not receive academic credit.
2. All students must
report to class during the first week to be informed of attendance regulations.
Failure to report could result in student receiving an "FA" for the class.
Students will receive a maximum of 1 Physical Education (P.E.) block per
activity, even those meeting for a full semester.
3. As the P.E.
requirement is designed to promote diversity of participation, a student
receiving a block of P.E. for participation in intercollegiate athletics must
enroll in P.E. activities that are different from his/her intercollegiate
sport.
4. You may select only 2 blocks of P.E. during the Course
Request Period. Additional blocks may be added during Schedule Adjustment
Period and Add/Drop.
5. All P.E. courses will be permanently listed
on your transcript - including failures.
6. "W" grades cannot be
used for P.E. classes, per Faculty legislation 4/29/94.
7.
Beginning July 1, 2009:
- Participants in intercollegiate sports will
receive credit for one block of physical education for each season they play a
varsity sport; ROTC students will receive credit for one block of physical
education for each year they remain in the program.

a physical education activity course one time. Priority during course request
