Dickinson College requires that research or educational activities that use recombinant DNA technology or potentially infectious agents be reviewed and approved by an Institutional BioSafety Committee (IBC) to ensure that they are conducted in a safe and appropriate manner, and in accordance with federal regulations and guidelines published by NIH, CDC, OSHA and other funding and/or regulatory agencies.
