There are two majors that make up the policy-studies program: policy management and law & policy. The law & policy major allows students to study law, legal institutions and legal processes in a broad social and political context. Majors study the structural, theoretical and practical aspects of the legal system. The policy-management major involves the application of complex problem-solving skills in a variety of areas (private sector, public sector and international). Majors evaluate the formulation and implementation of policy in relation to inputs and outcomes. Both majors integrate political, economic and ethical perspectives in the study of policy and allow students to explore their own individual areas of interest.
