Permanent link All PostsElizabeth Chegezy '05 majored in both IS and Spanish. After graduation she applied and was accepted to the Monterey Institute of International Studies. In Fall 2005 she enrolled in their Graduate School for Translation and Interpretation to pursue a two-year MA in Spanish Translation and Interpretation. Elizabeth completed the rigorous first year of the program from 2005-2006, then studied abroad in Granada, Spain for a year. While in Granada, she studied Spanish Translation and Interpretation at the Universidad de Granada, did self-guided study and provided English-language tutoring services. She then returned to Monterey to complete her MA. In May 2008, she graduated from the Monterey Institute and relocated back to her native Pennsylvania. She now resides in Philadelphia, where she is a full-time freelance Spanish Translator and Interpreter. She works in local hospitals, the state court system, for private clients and is a contract interpreter for the State Department.
