Majors Committee Page

The History Majors Committee plays a vital role in helping to run the department.  Members participate in activities that range from organizing course evaluations to interviewing prospective new faculty.  The committee also helps organize events and social service projects.  Please visit the committee page for a list of current members and more information.

Levels of Distinction

History majors can distinguish themselves in several ways, most notably by choosing to produce an honors thesis in their senior year or by demonstrating consistent excellence in all of their history classes, thus earning induction into the history honors society, Phi Alpha Theta.  The History Department also offers a variety of prizes for exceptional work.
