The American Public Health Association (APHA) annual meeting and exposition will be taking place in Denver, CO, November 6-10, 2010, in which over 13,000 public health professionals will share research findings, best practices, and other learning experiences: http://www.apha.org/meetings/

The APHA Committee on Affiliates (CoA) is sponsoring two student poster sessions at the meeting: one for undergraduate students and one for graduate students.  The call for abstracts is now open and accepting abstract submissions on any public health-related topic.  Students can be enrolled in ANY major.  The deadline for submissions is MONDAY, JUNE 21, 2010.  Abstracts are to be sent electronically via the following link: http://apha.confex.com/apha/138am/coa.htm

**IMPORTANT WHEN SUBMITTING AN ABSTRACT**
After clicking on the "Submit Abstract" link in the Call for Abstracts, students will be asked to select the topic that most closely relates to their abstract.  Please follow the instructions below:

-Undergraduate Students: Select "Committee on Affiliates Undergraduate Student Poster Session"
-Graduate Students: Select "Committee on Affiliates Graduate Student Poster Session"

Note: If a student will be both an undergraduate and graduate student in 2010, they should submit to the applicable session in which the abstract relates.  For instance, if the abstract describes work performed while an undergraduate student, then submit to the Committee on Affiliates Undergraduate Student Poster Session.

Questions should be directed to Brenda Kirkwood, CoA Student Representative, at: bakirkwood@gmail.com.
