Steve Sparks, Professor of Geology at University of Bristol U.K., has the honor of being named the 2010 Joseph Priestley Lecturer.  Prof. Sparks will deliver a talk entitled 'Volcanic Eruptions' as the Priestley Lecture Thur., Nov. 11 in the Stern Center Great Room at 7:00 p.m.  He will also lead a discussion hosted by the Department of Earth Sciences on Environmental Hazards on Fri., Nov. 12 in Kaufman 134 from 11:30 - 1:00 p.m.  Pizza will be provided.
