Important reminder regarding travel:
All students and scholars who depart the U.S. and intend to return to Dickinson College to resume their program must have their Form 1-20 or DS-2019 endorsed for travel. Travel signatures are valid for one year. Email int@dickinson.edu if you need a new signature. 

Important Dates 2010-2011
As you begin to plan your arrival/return to Dickinson this fall, please be reminded of several important dates with respect to on-campus housing:

August 28-29
RETURNING international students arrive on campus

October 15-19: Fall Pause
Residence Halls remain OPEN; meal plan remains ACTIVE

November 23-28: Thanksgiving Break [begins 5pm Nov. 23] 
Residence Halls remain OPEN; meal plan is NOT ACTIVE

December 13-18: Final Exams

December 19: Residence Halls CLOSE AT NOON FOR ALL STUDENTS
Students needing transportation to the train/bus station or airport in Harrisburg are to use the shuttle service provided by DPS. 

December 19-December 31: NO CAMPUS HOUSING AVAILABLE
Please make your plans early! No housing will be available on campus during this time. Assistance in finding local host families will be provided during the fall semester.

January 1-January 21: LIMITED HOUSING AVAILABLE for students who request break housing prior to deadline. No meal plan will be available. Housing request forms will be available at the beginning of the semester and will be due to the Office of Campus Life by November 19. NOTE: Students who request housing for this period will be placed in temporary accommodations and will not be able to access their normal residence hall assignment.

January 22: Residence halls reopen for returning students
Students needing transportation to the campus from Harrisburg are to use the shuttle service provided by the Office of Student Activities. 

March 11-20: Spring Break [begins 5pm Mar. 11]
Residence Halls remain OPEN; meal plan is NOT ACTIVE

May 9-17: Final Exams

May 17: Residence Halls CLOSE AT NOON FOR ALL MATRICULATED STUDENTS EXCEPT GRADUATING SENIORS
Any other student wishing to stay on campus during Senior Week must receive prior approval from the Office of Residential Life.

May 22: Commencement
