Global Campus

With 40 programs on six continents in 24 countries, Dickinson has one of the largest and most successful global education programs in the country.

Dickinson College has been committed to internationalism since its founding in 1783. Today, Dickinson has emerged as one of the nation’s top-three institutions for foreign-language majors, and it offers one of the world’s most respected off-campus study programs.

Our global curriculum includes 13 foreign languages and a spectrum of interdisciplinary programs, and students in all majors have ample opportunities to hone their linguistic and intercultural skills, whether on the internationally vibrant Carlisle campus, or within one of the college’s international partner communities.

Study Abroad

Dickinson's study-abroad programs span the globe, capitalizing on a unique blend of program features that stem from Dickinson’s liberal-arts foundation. Fourteen of these programs are offered as both semester-long and academic-year opportunities. Learn more about study abroad

Global CampusStudents may also participate in summer programs, globally integrated courses that include an international field experience and specialized global-mosaic programs that combine domestic study with international study.

International Students and Scholars

Dickinson’s Carlisle campus is a global community that prepares students to live in a complex world that requires knowledge and understanding of diverse cultures, languages, arts and political processes. The global community is enhanced by a growing international-student population and visits from international scholars, faculty and guests.

Continuous Global Experience

It is often challenging for students returning from abroad to find ways to integrate their international experiences into their everyday lives and their academic studies. Dickinson has many globally focused clubs, events and courses that make the transition easier. Learn more about the continuous global experience

News and Events

Living in two foreign countries during the years of my education has given me a very open-minded vision of the world. I learned so much about myself, others and about different cultures. I believe going to Dickinson is not simply about getting a degree, but rather becoming a ‘citizen of the world.’
