President's Leadership Institute
Professional Development Certification Program
In 2007, the Professional Development and Wellness program within Human Resource Services began to provide opportunities to enhance personal and professional growth for all Dickinson employees. During the 2011-2012 academic year, we continue to offer a series of professional development certification programs that are available to the entire employee community. These programs are focused on providing quality learning experiences for our employees while strengthening our position to meet the goals and initiatives of the institution. At Dickinson, we are committed to finding effective ways to provide innovative opportunities for employees, allowing them to contribute to the distinctiveness of the College. The initial Personal Enrichment and Management Development programs were held from January through May 2007. The Personal Enrichment Program includes Franklin Covey's "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" as its base and has been expanded to include the 8th Habit. The Leadership Development program kicked-off in the fall of 2008, and continues to be offered to both supervisors as well as directors. The 2011-2012 programs for Personal Enrichment, Management Development, and Leadership Development programs are offered and will continue through May 2012. Please see the 2011-2012 Professional Development and Wellness catalog for our full selection of programs.
