Have you downloaded the print drivers for the Print Center? If you do not know what this means—let us take care of it for you.

Personal consultation for any size print jobs (e.g., sending your projects directly to our printers via the campus network).

Starting from hard copy or electronic form, printing is available in color, black and white, or a combination of both on a variety of paper types and sizes.

Printing services available for letters, financial reports, tickets, course packets, custom-designed pieces and more.

Install the Print Center’s print drivers on a PC at Dickinson

1. Click on Start, go to Run. 

2. Type \\fasprint, click OK. This will bring up the printers on campus. 

3. Click on Printers and Faxes.

FOR B&W jobs:

Right click on printcenter_bw, click Connect. When the flashlight goes away, it is installed.

FOR COLOR jobs:

Right click on printcenter_color, click Connect. When the flashlight goes away, it is installed.

If you have any problems installing the drivers, contact the LIS helpdesk at 717-245-1000. 

Large Format Printing

The Print Center’s large format printers offer full-color printing up to 44” wide as well as banners measuring 24” in height. Dry mounting on foam core or gator board is available to offer your poster a firm backing. Tax will be added to outside pricing unless customer is tax-exempt.

 **Gator board is much stronger then foamcore, but about the same weight. It consists of rigid polystyrene foam core laminated between two face veneers of resin-impregnated wood fiber for use in displays, photo mounting, etc.

Be sure to include file name, dimensions, quantity, banner account number and delivery destination with your order. 

SENDING YOUR FILES: If you have access to the Dickinson P Drive MAC DROP, place your files in the LARGE FORMAT PRINTER folder. Otherwise, please send your files on a cd or drop them off at the Print Center on a USB drive.

Helpful Hint: Images with a resolution of 300 dpi or higher will produce the best print quality.
