Phi Beta Kappa Induction
Fifty members of the class of 2011 were inducted into Phi Beta Kappa (PBK) during a May 21 induction ceremony.
The oldest undergraduate honorary society in the United States, PBK dates back to 1776, when it was organized at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va. Election to this society, bestowed on around 1 percent of college graduates, is considered by many to be the highest honor that can be granted to an undergraduate.
