ROTC Commissioning

Class of 2010 graduates received their commissions as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army during the ROTC Commissioning Ceremony on Saturday, May 22. The newly commissioned officers will attend a basic course lasting up to five months at an Army installation where they will learn to perform duties as a platoon leader within an assigned career field. Upon graduation from the Basic Officer Leadership Course, they will be assigned worldwide as platoon leaders, charged with ensuring that the roughly 40 soldiers under their command are trained and ready to perform their duties in support of national defense in both peacetime and war.
