Partners in the community
Dickinson College invites community members to join in a wide array of educational, cultural and recreational activities on campus. While not all resources are open to the public, we invite you to explore the options below.
Campus Lectures, Arts Events, Performances
Many of our cultural events are free and open to the public, including gallery exhibitions, music and theater performances, lectures and panel discussions. Visit the Compass to learn about current cultural and educational events.
Continuing Education
Dickinson is pleased to provide continuing education opportunities. Please see our guidelines for continuing education or contact the Registrar’s Office.
Waidner-Spahr Library
Community members may use the library when it is open to the general public. The college's policies regarding community-member borrowing rights, replacement fees and late fines will apply. Note: Community members may not borrow DVDs, video cassettes, recordings or CDs.
- To borrow books from the library, community members must either purchase a library card ($40 per year) or donate to the Friends of the Library. Note: Friends of the Library have special library privileges.
- Area high-school students may obtain library cards from their school librarians.

Athletic Facilities
Tennis courts are available to community members free of charge. Note: Dickinson tennis team members and class participants take priority.
Community members may attend basketball games as spectators at no charge. View our sports schedule.
The Dickinson Park walking/jogging trail is open to the public. Note: No dogs are permitted on the trail.
